WOW! Retreats

For many people today, it is impossible to even imagine that teenagers would desire Wisdom. But one may ask the question, do young people not desire wisdom or do they simply lack people who are willing to take them there? Young people desire God, and their thirst is a reason to hope! The WOW! Retreat weekends are a convenient way for teens to discover or reawaken this thirst for God.

Designed to instill the same spirit as the Eagle Eye Summer Institutes, the WOW! Weekend Retreats allow young people the chance to keep that spirit alive throughout the year, or get a taste for what the Summer Institute will be like. Each semester, a WOW! Teen weekend retreat is offered in Princeville, and they are open to any teenager who dares to thirst for something deeper.

Friday

• 6:30 p.m. Registration moving into rooms and getting to know one another
• 7:45 p.m. First Spiritual Conference on the weekend theme
• 9:30 Holy Hour (in Brothers’ Chapel)
• Confession available
• 10:30 To bed

Saturday

• 6:15 Silent Prayer
• 7:00 Lauds with the Brothers
• 7:30 Breakfast
• 8:15 Lectio Divina in small groups
• 9:00 Truth Quest I (Philosophy) -- on the weekend's question
• 10:00 Faith Quest I (Theology) -- on the weekend’s question
• 11:00 Free time
• 11:30 Midday Office and Mass with the Brothers
• 1:00 Lunch (With Brothers in Brothers’ Refectory)
• 2:00 Fun walk! (with the Brothers)
• 3:10 Snack available in Conference Center
• 3:30 Faith Quest II (Theology) -- on the weekend’s question
• 4:30 Truth Quest II (Philosophy) -- on the weekend’s question
• 5:30 Vespers (with Brothers)
• 6:00 Adoration – silent Adoration with Sisters (optional)
• Adoration with meditations with Brothers
• Confessions available
• 7:00 Fun Dinner (for retreatants)
• 8:00 Free time
• Optional activity (board games)
• 9:00 Camp Fire (with music, snacks, stories, and more!)
• 10:15 To bed
